As the village’s only sake brewery, Kamihei Brewing has been central to Tono’s brewing scene for over 200 years. Since the introduction of the Zumona Beer brand in 1999, Zumona has become a household name for beer-lovers in Tono.

Honoring sake brewing traditions, Zumona brews exclusively using soft ground water from the Rokkoshi Mountains, contributing to the gentle body and mouthfeel shared throughout the Zumona lineup. Taking full advantage of its prime location in hop country, local hops are featured abundantly in all of their beers.

    Light, crisp, and endlessly drinkable with subtle aromatics of Tono hops. Winner of the Gold Medal (Bohemian-Style Pilsner category), and crowned champion (Light Lager category) in the 2018 International Beer Cup.
